DVIR stands for Driver Vehicle Inspection Report, and this tool is primarily used by companies with fleets of vehicles to track their condition, ensure safety compliance, and improve operational efficiency. Whip Around allows drivers and fleet managers to complete pre-trip inspections, post-trip reports, and maintenance logs directly on their smartphones or tablets, eliminating the need for paper-based records. The app helps businesses maintain a record of inspections, repair requests, and vehicle maintenance, ensuring that all vehicles are in proper working order and meeting regulatory standards. It also offers features like real-time tracking, customizable inspection forms, automatic reporting, and maintenance alerts.

For Fleet Managers and Drivers: Download the Whip Around App: Start by downloading the Whip Around app from the Google Play Store or Apple App Store. Alternatively, fleet managers can access the platform from a desktop or laptop to manage accounts and vehicle data. Create an Account or Log In: If you’re a new user, sign up for an account by entering your email address and creating a password. If you’re a fleet manager, you can set up multiple users and assign vehicles to your drivers. If you already have an account, simply log in to access your fleet management dashboard and vehicle data. Set Up Your Fleet: Fleet managers can add vehicles to the system, assign drivers, and set up inspection forms for each vehicle type. You can also create customized inspection checklists based on your company’s needs, industry standards, or regulatory requirements. Conduct Vehicle Inspections: Drivers can open the Whip Around app before or after a trip to complete the pre-trip or post-trip vehicle inspections. The app will present the inspection form, where drivers can check off various vehicle components such as: Tires and brakes Lights, windshield wipers, and horn Fuel levels and engine checks Cargo and safety equipment If drivers spot any defects or issues, they can mark the item as damaged or in need of repair. Document Findings and Take Photos: If any issues are found during the inspection, drivers can document the findings by adding notes and taking photos of the damage or area of concern. This helps ensure transparency and provides visual proof of any vehicle issues for later review. Submit the Inspection Report: Once the inspection is complete, the driver submits the DVIR through the app, which automatically generates a report and saves it for future reference. The report is stored in the system for both driver and fleet manager to review, helping maintain a record of the vehicle's condition. Review and Track Inspections: Fleet managers can access all submitted reports through the Whip Around dashboard.
