1. Download and install Simple TOPO, open the app, and grant location permissions. 2. Choose and download an offline topographic map for your region to use without a signal. 3. Tap Record to start GPS tracking; follow your position on the map during your hike or ride. 4. Long-press on the map to add waypoints and plan routes, then review distance and elevation. 5. Save your track when finished, name it, and export or share as GPX; adjust units and map layers in settings as needed.
